About Tsumiki Japanese
Tsumiki Japanese makes practice materials for learners of Japanese. The name comes from 積み木 (tsumiki), the Japanese word for building blocks: each question helps you build your Japanese one block at a time.
How the questions are made
- Every question, sentence and passage is original. We do not copy past tests or other publishers' materials.
- The question types and counts follow the format the JLPT has published since December 2020.
- A native Japanese speaker proofreads every question before it is published.
- We use AI tools to help draft questions and explanations. Nothing is published without the native speaker's check.
Our books
The questions on this site are taken from our JLPT practice test books, and the site links to them on Amazon. We are the author and publisher of those books.
